TV Show

   ''If you are the one'' is one of the most popular TV shows in China. This show is about the dating game, and you can find your mate in the show. However, we usually see some foreigner on this show and try to find their mate.''If you are the one''could let us know some pop cultures in society. And we can learn more and more pop culture from some TV shows like ''If you are the one''.

Food

       Buttered tea is the most famous tea in the area of Tibet. Drinking butter tea is a regular part of Tibetan life. It is always served to guests, and it also is traditional food in Tibet. Tibetan culture is a part of Chinese culture that has own style between others Chinese culture in foods.  Buttered tea comes from tea and sheep milk, its taste like salty milk. 

Movie

     This is very light slow film. I like the movie that explains the intonation and the rhythm of the atmosphere. This feeling seems to be only in a great works to see. Such as said before the Forrest Gump. Best movie rhythm in seems only two sides, similar to the light slow or quick rhythm in order to build the tension. This is an immortal movie, even if it lost in Oscar, But the same cannot change this reality. At least this is a good movie after you see and will never forget. The movie with the third person of the narrator describes the Shawshank prison twenty or thirty years all of the things happened. Rhett Perspective described the Andy and because he gets the Shawshank redemption. This is a movie which let a person have many thinking. After the movie, we will think about society, life, friendship, and ideal.

     

Music

   "Take me home country roads" is my favorite song. The song describes hometown scenery, and the homesick.  John Denver is my favorite artist, and he is the spokesman of the country music. Country Music  is  a  kind  of  music that  dedicated  to  those people  far  away  from home.  

Reading

    The Reading "Dose sex still sell?" is about the sell of bodies or other characteristics. Some especially the female singer use sex to sell themselves and their music. I thought why the sexy singer just sell sexy, or the others she owns. It should attract any fans using the sexuality.On the other hand, women in rock can make music more fun and pluralism, but not sexy.

Cultural Identity

   Between Tibetan culture and Chinese traditional culture has deep connection. But also has big difference. Tibetan culture is a special branch.Tibet is a plateau region in Asia, north-east of the Himalayas. It is the highest region on earth, with an average elevation of 4900M(16000ft).The Potala Palace is one of the most famous building in Tibet, and also the symbol of Tibet. The Potala Palace is all the Tibetan worship to the holy land.Lake Namtso is the famous highland lake in Tibet. Tibetan will take a bath in here.Lama believe in Tibetan Buddhism. Lama twirls prayer wheel wears red cape recites the scriptures.

Pop Culture

   The pop culture is something about culture which popular by now, and it influences our lives. Every knows it. It is important to close by our life. Sometimes we can see what is happening in the News, Ads, and media. What is the new thing, who is the most famous person, and which film is playing. We need to study pop culture because we live in nowadays. We must know what is going on? The culture ha changed fast, we have to catch that.
    
     When I took this class, I have changed my mind in pop culture. Before i took this class, I didn't define what was the pop culture about? Then, I leaned about the knowledge of pop culture, and knew a lot of different things in class.  The pop culture is not the only one of culture, but it is a leaning. It includes most of things that we knew.
